Terraces of Boise, a HumanGood community, seeks a talented Sous Chef to join our dining team in Boise, ID. Under the supervision of the Executive Chef, you will mentor kitchen staff, plan and execute meals with nutritional value and creative appeal, and ensure quality in the absence of the head chef.

This full-time role features a steady Tue-Sat schedule, a salary range of $55,000–$65,000 per year, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of culinary or food service experience, including supervisory or lead experience.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety, sanitation practices, HACCP principles, and kitchen operations.
• Ability to supervise and motivate staff in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Aufgaben

• Prepares food, including washing, trimming, cutting, portioning, measuring, mixing, and panning.
• Cooks food via baking, broiling, frying, steaming, braising, boiling, and pressure cooking.
• Orders food, supervises kitchen staff, and prepares menu in absence of Executive Chef.
• Provides meals that are properly cooked, tasty, and attractively presented while meeting dietary needs.
• Tastes food before serving and adds appropriate garnishes.
• Ensures compliance with all food preparation standards and health and safety requirements.
• Operates and cleans all food preparation equipment.
• Performs other related essential duties as required.
