Job summary

Lucky Strike Entertainment in New Jersey is seeking a Sous Chef to lead our fast-paced kitchen, uphold food safety standards, and manage daily operations across events and venue service.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with the KM/Chef and operations, plan menus and purchasing, and ensure quality and presentation meet the company standards; ServSafe certification is required and 1–3 years supervisory experience in entertainment or hospitality is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of kitchen supervisory experience in high-volume entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Relevant experience or education acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the F&B menu and purchasing programs.
• Manage budgets related to food operations and monitor P&L to optimize costs.
• Plan and supervise banquets with Operations and Sales teams; oversee prep and service of food and beverages.
• Estimate food usage and schedule staff to match business volume.
• Collaborate with KM/Chef or GM to address disciplinary issues and foster teamwork.
• Ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation to company standards; oversee portioning and storage.
• Assist with kitchen equipment maintenance and DOH sanitation audits.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment at all times.
• Report critical issues to General Manager promptly.
