Job description

From the Philadelphia hospitality group CookNSolo, behind celebrated concepts such as Zahav, Dizengoff, Goldie, Jaffa Bar, K’Far, and Lilah: Laser Wolf is hiring a Sous Chef to join the team.

This Sous Chef will be part of a leadership team that is passionate about fostering a positive work culture, deepening their team’s culinary knowledge, and is committed to the guest experience. The ideal candidate is dependable, maintains a positive attitude, and has a desire to learn and grow daily. They will join a management team dedicated to creating a safe and caring environment for staff, enabling them to extend that care to guests. A minimum of two years of experience is required.

Sous Chef Expectations:
  1. Work closely with FOH and BOH managers to oversee service and identify areas for growth.
  2. Be team-oriented and ready to support staff at any time.
  3. Support service by participating in food preparation, line work, and dish plating.
  4. Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
  5. Assist in developing and overseeing menu changes and meal presentations.
  6. Communicate effectively and diligently.
  7. Ensure timely operation of kitchen staff.
  8. Oversee inventory management and reordering of supplies.
  9. Recruit and train new staff for all BOH positions.
  10. Maintain the highest standards of product quality.
  11. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
  12. Prepare the kitchen team schedule.
  13. Be a proactive problem solver.
  14. Work on weekends as required.
