Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a passionate Sous Chef for a beautiful property just minutes outside of Charlotte, NC. This role supports the Head Chef in menu development, food preparation, and maintaining high-quality standards for daily guests and special events.

The position emphasizes a farm-to-table philosophy with ingredients grown on site, strong leadership, and a focus on consistency, food safety, and presentation. Flexible schedule including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of culinary experience in restaurant, catering, hotel, or banquet.
• Strong farm-to-table philosophy and passion for fresh ingredients.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and creative menu development skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and executing menus that highlight fresh, locally grown ingredients.
• Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes.
• Oversee kitchen operations, staff, and food safety standards.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and compliance with health regulations.
• Manage food inventory, ordering, and equipment maintenance.
