Job description

We are hiring a Sous Chef

OEM $50,367.29 to $62,959.11

Great opportunity to bring your culinary skills to one of North America’s fastest-growing hospitality companies – Concord Hospitality Enterprises. As a hotel Sous Chef, you’ll tempt the palettes of our guests with your attention to detail in presentation, quality, and safe serving temperatures.

The ideal candidate will be organized, attentive to detail, and capable of quickly and authoritatively solving problems and delegating responsibilities to foster team growth. They should use their extensive experience to coach and mentor the culinary team effectively. Striving for perfection while understanding its impossibility, the candidate will find opportunities for professional growth in an environment that values communication and organization as keys to kitchen success.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Training kitchen associates to perform their duties effectively, including plate presentation and display work.
  2. Writing schedules, evaluating, and directing all personnel.
  3. Maintaining open verbal and written communication between management and staff.
  4. Implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.
  5. Providing associates with the necessary tools and equipment.
  6. Addressing kitchen problems immediately.
  7. Participating in department, staff, and kitchen meetings, inventory, and MOD program.
  8. Ensuring high-quality, properly prepared food is served efficiently across outlets.
  9. Assisting in establishing goals, standards, and objectives to enhance the organization’s reputation and profitability.
  10. Supervising the kitchen staff in the absence of the Executive Chef, including utility and sanitation staff.
  11. Maintaining records such as roast meat charts and recipe cards.
  12. Preparing recipe cards and presentation materials for menu items.
  13. Submitting payroll hours timely to the Accounting Department.
