Job summary

Hershey Entertainment & Resorts is seeking an experienced kitchen leader to join the opening team at Hershey Social Restaurant + Bar in downtown Hershey, PA. You will supervise staff, uphold food safety, and ensure top-quality presentation in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of line cook experience in la carte, banquet, hotel or resort settings.
• Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver's license.
• Completion of high school or GED; Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts.
• Post-Employment: RAMP Certification, ServSafe Allergen, and ServSafe Manager Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen staff and ensure sanitation and safety in the kitchen.
• Interviewing, training, scheduling, counseling, and motivating kitchen staff.
• Drive menu development and maintain updated costing.
• Analyze recipes and plate presentation.
• Order food and requisition supplies.
• Control food inventory levels and food and labor costs.
• Maintain equipment in good working order and submit service requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for kitchen staff management, food preparation, food safety, quality, and presentation at Hershey Social Restaurant + Bar in downtown Hershey, PA.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Supervise food preparation, sanitation, and safety in the kitchen.*

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of working experience as a line cook in a la carte, banquet, free-standing restaurant, hotel, and/or resort atmosphere
• 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Completion of high school or GED, Associate’s degree - Culinary Arts
• Post-Employment: RAMP Certification, ServSafe Allergen, and ServSafe Manager Certifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of POS and automated payroll systems
• High volume, banquet, or casual dining
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
