Location: Greensboro College Dining

We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time SOUS CHEF positions.

Address: Greensboro College Dining - 815 West Market Street, Greensboro, NC 27401. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules; Tuesday through Saturday, hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Prior food handling leadership experience required.

Pay Range: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Assist the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking foods, coordinate activities of kitchen staff, and assume responsibility in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepare food following recipes and standards, meet deadlines.
  • Supervise kitchen staff including interviewing, scheduling, training, and discipline.
  • Store food safely, follow sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, and temperature.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workstations.
  • Interact with customers to resolve complaints.
  • Understand and explain menu items.
  • Monitor inventory and supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
