AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic and optimistic leader for the Sous Chef, Full-time position. This role offers Monday through Friday daytime hours with NO evenings and NO weekends.

The wage for this position is $20/hr.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare meals and food to meet specifications in a timely manner.
  2. Properly measure ingredients and food portions.
  3. Ensure kitchen staff follow standards, procedures, rules, and sanitation requirements.
  4. Use kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers, and warmers.
  5. Manage inventory, ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality.
  6. Maintain proper food temperatures during cooking and storage.
  7. Keep the workstation and equipment clean, organized, and sanitized.
  8. Take charge of the Saute Station and other duties as directed by the Executive Chef.
Job Requirements:
  • Culinary degree preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in a BOH culinary lead role.
  • Experience in high-volume catering preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships by actively listening and responding to client needs.
  • Adaptability to changing business conditions.
  • Comfort in fast-paced environments.
