Job summary

Senior Living Residences in Meredith, NH, is seeking a Sous Chef to join the Compass at Forestview dining team. This per diem role focuses on preparing, cooking and plating meals for residents and special events, while accommodating dietary needs.

Relies on experience with fast-paced dining and strong communication with residents and colleagues. The position offers per diem shifts with pay starting at $23 per hour based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits program and opportunities

Qualifications

• Certification: Food Safety preferred.
• 1–2 years minimum as a cook in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers.
• Punctuality and reliability in daily dining operations.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

The sous chef will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating food for meals and special events, assisting with ordering, and accommodating residents' dietary needs as required.

Requirements

• Certification: Food Safety certification, preferred
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years as a cook in a fast-paced setting
• Physical requirements: Lifting trays and dishes, occasionally moving dining tables and furniture
• Communication: An ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers
• Punctuality & reliability – Our residents rely on us to assist them with their daily living activities and we expect our associates to deliver on this promise.
