Cedar Sinai Park in Portland, OR seeks a Sous Chef to assist the Director of Culinary Services by overseeing Rose Schnitzer Manor kitchen operations, guiding culinary staff, and ensuring high-quality food preparation, safety, and adherence to policies.
This on-site role leads in the director's absence, trains staff, assists with inventory and budgeting, coordinates events, and provides hands-on cooking and plating support while maintaining log compliance and cost controls.

Assists the Director of Culinary Services with overseeing all the Rose Schnitzer Manor kitchen operations. Provides leadership and direction to culinary staff, including Senior Chefs, ensuring quality food preparation, efficient resource management, and adherence to food safety standards and organizational policies.

Flexibility and willingness to assist with the day-to-day needs of the Culinary Department.
High school diploma or equivalent required. 1–3 years of similar experience required. Experience working with elders and/or in the food service or customer service industry preferred. Culinary education or training preferred.
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Food Handler's Permit within 30 days of employment. Alcohol Server Permit required where applicable by state law.
