Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to lead the daily kitchen operations in a healthcare setting. You will assist with food production, menu execution, staff supervision, inventory management, and catering, while ensuring compliance with food safety and healthcare regulations.

You will work with the Executive Chef to deliver high-quality meals for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Progressive culinary and/or kitchen leadership experience.
• Healthcare, institutional, or high-volume food service experience preferred.
• Experience working in a unionized environment is a plus.
• Catering experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, food cost control, and kitchen operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and email systems.
• ServSafe Manager certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Job Summary

As a Sous Chef, you will support the day-to-day operation of the Culinary Department within a healthcare setting. This role partners with the Executive Chef to deliver high-quality meals and exceptional service for patients, residents, visitors, and associates.

We're looking for a hands-on Sous Chef to lead daily kitchen operations under the direction of the Executive Chef. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, thinks quickly on their feet, and keeps the team focused on food quality, safety, and timely service. Experience working in a unionized environment is a plus.
