Levy Restaurants, Inc. is seeking a Sous Chef at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis to lead culinary operations and uphold our service standards.

You will supervise kitchen staff, manage costs, and ensure quality and presentation across menus while collaborating with other departments in a high-profile venue.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in a culinary management role.
• Experience in high-volume settings preferred.
• Culinary degree preferred but not required for all candidates.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with kitchen software.
• Strong hospitality mindset and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Establish quality food and presentation standards.
• Ensure guidelines and standards are communicated to the team.
• Ensure the kitchen has needed equipment and supplies.
• Contribute to sales growth via menu and pricing decisions.
• Meet purchasing, scheduling and culinary standards.
• Achieve cost goals and manage budgets.
• Foster cooperative, productive team climate.
• Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Travel up to 20% as needed.

Job Summary

As a Sous Chef, it will be your primary responsibility to execute cuisine that exceeds guest expectations and provide strong leadership while delivering cost goals and living our Company vision and values.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Establishes quality food and presentation standards
• Ensures company guidelines and standards are communicated to team members
• Ensures the kitchen team has the necessary equipment and supplies
• Contributes to sales growth through product selection, execution, pricing and creative development
• Achieves purchasing, scheduling and culinary standards
• Achieves all assigned cost goals
• Promotes a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule - including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Able to travel up to 20% of the time
• Additional responsibilities, as needed

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a culinary management position
• High volume experience is preferred
• A culinary degree is preferred
• High level of computer literacy
• Understanding of financial concepts
• Passion for hospitality, food, and retail
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
