Schedule: Full-time, flexible schedule including weekends

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Job Overview

The Sous Chef reports to the Chef Manager and is responsible for preparing meals for clients at Dunwoody Behavioral Health Center. The role involves ensuring quality dishes are served on schedule, assisting in menu creation, and managing supplies.

Responsibilities
  • Follow all Board of Health requirements and Georgia state guidelines.
  • Cook and prepare meals following dietary guidelines and client restrictions.
  • Apply culinary techniques, nutrition knowledge, and food safety standards.
  • Manage food preparation and storage temperatures.
  • Operate commercial kitchen equipment effectively.
  • Prepare food from scratch in batches.
  • Maintain certification as a Certified Food Manager.
  • Ensure client coach staff obtain Food Handlers Certification.
  • Obtain menu approvals from the SLOW dietitian.
  • Follow nutrition requirements and portion sizes.
  • Create and update menus for clients.
  • Prepare bag lunches, dinners, and snacks.
  • Stock and prepare breakfast items.
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and ordering supplies.
