Job summary

Great Wolf Lodge in North Carolina is seeking a Sous Chef to manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef. You will assist with food preparation, oversee inventory, and help with scheduling and training of staff.

The role requires 3+ years in restaurant kitchens, a High School diploma or equivalent, and flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays. Benefits include health plans, 401K with employer match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • 3+ years experience in restaurant kitchen(s).
  • Must be flexible regarding scheduling, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Criminal background check and drug screen required.
  • Culinary education degree preferred.
  • Experience in hotel/resort kitchen a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef with directing the preparation and presentation of all foods in all venues of the Lodge.
  • Maintain and follow all local Health Department codes and regulations for food prep.
  • Work with the Chef to hire, train, supervise, schedule and participate in activities of kitchen staff.
  • Contribute to creation of new menus and inventory/forecasting.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of back-of-house areas and equipment.

The range listed is just one component of Great Wolf’s total compensation package.
