Job summary

Impellam Group is seeking a Procurement Sourcing Specialist to execute sourcing activities across assigned business areas. You will collaborate with business units, legal teams, and suppliers to analyze bids and drive strategic negotiations.

The role requires an undergraduate degree in a related field and at least 1+ year of procurement experience. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute the sourcing process for assigned areas

• Lead and/or participate on sourcing project teams
• Recommend and communicate sourcing strategy and results to supervision
• Develop and maintain relationships with business units and suppliers
• Provide market data to support supplier selection and performance management
• Drive down total cost of ownership
• Participate in sourcing data analysis, forecasting and planning
• Develop new sources of supply and monitor supplier performance
• Assist in managing external spend

This position executes the sourcing process for assigned business areas and administers policies and programs directed towards providing contracted services and materials; prepares simple sourcing agreements containing limited changes to standard terms and conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the sourcing process for assigned areas
• Interact with assigned operating business units, legal experts, and internal personnel
• Engage with the supplier community and industry analysts
• Analyze responses to bid requests and distill commercial differences to bring forward succinct recommendations for supplier selection
• Conduct negotiations successfully
• Lead and/or participate on sourcing project teams
• Recommend and communicate sourcing strategy, progress and results to supervision and management
• Develop and maintain relationships with business units and suppliers
• Conduct industry analysis and evaluate supplier performance
• Provide market data to support supplier selection, qualification and on-going performance management
• Drive down the total cost of ownership
• Participate in sourcing data analysis, forecasting and planning
• Develop new sources of supply and monitor ongoing supplier performance
• Assist in managing external spend
• Conduct business dealings with the highest level of integrity and regard for corporate guidelines, legal and environmental regulations

Requirements - education & experience

• Undergraduate degree with a preference in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related fields
• 1+ years of supply chain/procurement experience
• Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast paced environment
