Job summary

Columbia Search Partners in Atlanta is seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist to own direct material cost reduction across fabrications, machining, castings, and assemblies. This hybrid role is based in our Atlanta office with periodic travel to Knoxville, TN.

You will lead supplier negotiations, RFQ-to-award processes, and drive measurable savings, partnering with engineering, quality, and operations to improve supplier performance and delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in sourcing, procurement, or commodity management.
• Measurable cost savings and supplier performance improvements.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience in a fast-moving, growing organization.
• Willingness to travel to Knoxville, TN.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.

• Own sourcing and supplier management for fabricated metal parts, machined components, castings, electronics, and assemblies
• Develop, qualify, and evaluate suppliers to hit the best balance of cost, quality, and delivery
• Lead quote analysis, negotiate pricing and terms, and manage purchase orders through the full procurement lifecycle
• Partner closely with engineering, quality, and operations to keep supplier performance aligned with production
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives that strengthen competitiveness and supply reliability
• Support continuous improvement through data analysis and supplier feedback loops

Strategic Sourcing | Direct Materials

Columbia Search Partners is supporting a rapidly growing industrial manufacturing organization in the search for an experienced Sourcing Specialist to own direct material cost reduction across fabrications, machining, castings, and assemblies. Hybrid role based in our Atlanta office, with periodic travel to our Knoxville, TN facility.

This is not an entry-level role. We're looking for someone with real ownership of supplier negotiations, RFQ-to-award, and cost savings on direct materials, ready to step in and contribute immediately in a fast-moving, still-forming organization.

What You'll Do

• Own sourcing and supplier management for fabricated metal parts, machined components, castings, electronics, and assemblies
• Develop, qualify, and evaluate suppliers to hit the best balance of cost, quality, and delivery
• Lead quote analysis, negotiate pricing and terms, and manage purchase orders through the full procurement lifecycle

• Willingness to travel periodically to Knoxville, TN
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience

Compensation

$70,000 to $95,000 base, depending on experience.
