Job Description

Possesses understanding of client needs and hiring conditions, both external and internal. Provides advice, expertise, and assistance to all levels of personnel on various recruiting and talent acquisition issues. Serves as a trusted member of the Global TA organization, fostering strong partnerships with internal and external customers. Provides sourcing and candidate generation to hiring managers across multiple teams, organizations, and locations.

To excel in this role, the candidate must effectively manage, prioritize, and close searches within set timelines, with experience in setting benchmarks, metrics, and prioritization to meet customer SLAs. The role requires thriving in an innovative, fast-paced environment, with a hands-on approach, dedication, and a focus on results.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Partner with hiring teams to develop effective sourcing, assessment, and closing strategies, managing customer expectations through a clear understanding of return on investment.
  2. Recruit passive candidates with a focus on profiling and gauging candidate chemistry and motivation, rather than hard selling roles.
  3. Screen candidates within the position specifications and prepare an ideal candidate slate within a consistent timeline.
  4. Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through proactive market research and ongoing relationship management. Conduct in-depth interviews to anticipate hiring manager preferences, ensuring high offer-to-interview ratios.
  5. Communicate effectively with hiring managers and interview teams to ensure preparedness and share information across management levels.
  6. Recommend recruitment strategies that contribute to the company's long-term growth, implementing process improvements aligned with Amazon's mission.
  7. Provide a positive candidate experience and act as a candidate advocate.
  8. Develop and articulate plans with clear deliverables, timelines, and tracking processes.
  9. Participate in special projects and initiatives, including assessing best interview practices, leveraging internal talent sources, and identifying top talent for roles.
Technical Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of Java Full Stack development ecosystem and familiarity with Software Development Engineer (SDE) skill sets.
  • Knowledge of Data Analytics technologies and roles, including Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) requirements and Data Engineering tools and platforms.
Sourcing Expertise
  • Proven track record sourcing technical talent.
  • Experience screening Java developers and data professionals.
  • Understanding of technical interview processes and assessment of technical competencies.
  • Knowledge of competitive tech talent markets.
Additional Advantages

Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) is an offshore delivery partner for WW Amazon Stores, focusing on building long-term recruiting strategies to attract top talent across North America, EMEA, MENA, APJC, India, and LATAM.

Minimum Requirements
  • 1+ years of progressive recruiting or research experience in a corporate or search firm setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of full-time Amazon experience.
  • Experience with contact management or applicant tracking systems.
  • Experience managing high-volume and niche hiring.
  • Participation in technology hiring events, meetups, and user groups.
