Job summary

American Family Insurance seeks a Sourcing & Procurement Summer Intern to support end-to-end lifecycle activities on-site in Madison, WI. You will work with sourcing specialists, analysts, category managers, and stakeholders on strategic sourcing, spend analysis, and supplier-related projects.

This internship offers hands-on exposure to RFIs/RFPs, risk management, and process improvements, with opportunities to engage across Finance, Legal, Risk, and Technology teams.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university.
• Must have completed at least 24 semester hours before the first work term.
• Open to students pursuing degrees in business, supply chain, analytics, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Assist with RFIs, RFPs, supplier communications, and proposal evaluations.
• Analyze procurement spend data and develop dashboards and reports.
• Support supplier performance tracking and scorecard activities.
• Help manage supplier records and procurement documentation.
• Support third-party risk management and due diligence activities.
• Identify and document opportunities to improve procurement workflows.
