Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Sourcing and Procurement Analyst to strengthen supplier partnerships and drive procurement excellence.

You will lead end-to-end sourcing events, issue RFQs/RFPs, perform analyses, and support contract negotiations within a government procurement framework. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, assess supplier capabilities, and optimize cost drivers while ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; 4+ years of additional experience in supply chain may substitute for a degree.
• 2+ years of government procurement experience and/or experience with software buying is required.
• Experience in written/oral communications at all levels of the company.
• Ability to research, analyze, compile, and assess business and financial data.
• Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented individual who works quickly and efficiently and learns quickly.
• Ability to manage multiple projects related to the purchasing process.
• Due to the nature of the role, US Citizenship is required.
• Hybrid: Must be able to go into Falls Church or Herndon, VA 3+ days a week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute procurement activities across the On-Premise Software commodity team, applying sourcing experience and procurement best practices.
• Manage end-to-end sourcing events, develop and issue RFQs/RFPs, perform competitive analysis.
• Support strategic sourcing activities and contract negotiations in alignment with risk mitigation process.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements, assess supplier capabilities, and analyze cost drivers.
• Recommend sourcing strategies that support program objectives and ensure policy compliance.
• Drive process improvements, update procurement tools and templates, and improve data quality.
