Job Summary:
The Sourcing Operations Director I is responsible for developing and driving standard operating processes, procedures, and practices across the sourcing organization to simplify, streamline, and increase overall efficiency. This position leads a team that creates and manages the tools, processes, reports, and systems used within Sourcing. This role partners with each functional organization and each global Region Operations team to drive continuous improvement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Owns day-to-day operations and reporting of delivery of all operating metrics as it relates to field sourcing activities (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) as a part of the broader global thread
- Design, develop, and manage the sourcing Tableau suite of dashboards to help drive clear Leader Standard Work and Daily Management for regions, including aggregation of data and partnership with Data & Analytics to build strong reporting/monitoring infrastructure with leading indicators
- Drive and implement standardization and global standard operating processes and practices by partnering with internal stakeholders including Operations, Value Stream, and Region leadership, utilizing effective change management techniques
- Leads sourcing initiatives and projects including supplier events, digitization projects, and projects to support SQDC KPI’s
- Manage Supplier Quality process and initiatives in partnership with corporate GE Gas Power supplier quality team
- Creates and manages process standards with both sourcing and regional execution teams, including as part of the Plan-Execute-Closeout phases of outages
- Lead and support sourcing directors to build, own, and drive the overall sourcing Bowler, Action Plan, and Kaizen calendar, including individual 1-pagers for each relevant KPI
- Develop, implement, and track supplier assurance actions to meet or exceed supplier Quality and EHS performance and compliance standards
- Manage and maintain the development, on-going facilitation of end-to-end Sourcing platforms utilized as functional sourcing enablers to increase operational efficiencies and expediate supplier sourcing time to market (i.e., e-RFx, e-Catalog, SRM, etc.)
- Support sourcing GM in driving operating rigor in the team to deliver SQDC metrics to support the business team
- Travel may be required

Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or similar related area, or equivalent
- 10+ years of progressive and demonstrable sourcing and supply chain or related experience
- 5+ years managing and developing multi-discipline teams, preferably with international reach across multiple service types
- Must possess understanding of supplier management and sourcing practices as well as with large-scale system sourcing platforms development and/or implementations
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage cross-functional and cross-regional teams in the collaboration and delegation of required activities and ability to lead by influence
- English proficiency required
