Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Sourcing Manager to develop and implement a global supplier strategy for assigned purchase families or regional commodities. The role emphasizes strategic relationships, market expertise, and long-term lifecycle management across global or regional sourcing teams.

You will drive negotiations, partner with business stakeholders, and ensure supplier quality and regulatory compliance while delivering cost productivity and obsolescence management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree as required in engineering, procurement, supply chain, or finance.
• 6+ years of experience in sourcing, engineering, operations, supply chain or commercial roles.
• Willing to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
• On-site role based in SLC, UT.

Job Description Summary

The Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading the supplier strategy for sourcing products and services for the assigned Global Purchase Family or Regional Commodity purchasing. Strategically, the role requires driving and developing comprehensive strategic relationships through strong technical/market expertise. This includes setting, continuously refining and executing the long-term sourcing strategy for the assigned Global Purchase Family, Regional Commodity, or P&L based purchasing.

Job Description

Role Responsibilities

• Driving the sourcing strategy that delivers a competitive advantage including implementation of the strategic supplier initiatives. This includes supplier selection, development, and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance.
• Leading Global Purchase Family or Regional Commodity specific sourcing with full accountability for buy and meeting material deflation targets by setting strategic direction for global or regional sourcing professionals.
• Developing strategies and driving negotiations to meet the quality, fulfillment, and productivity requirements of the business.
• Partnering with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced material and services meet the needs of the business.
• The role may lead a team of sourcing professional to meet the sourcing requirements of the assigned Global Purchase Family or Regional Commodity purchasing.
• Supporting Supplier Quality Program, ensuring supplier compliance with FDA, EHS, transportation and other regulatory and reputation requirements.

Specific to Direct Sourcing Responsibilities

• Leading the development & execution of sourcing strategic initiatives to ensure optimal cost productivity, fulfillment, and obsolescence/life-cycle management by leveraging standardization and latest industry practices.
• Building deep relationships with Strategic Suppliers Relationships driving early supplier engagement into GE HealthCare’s Job Description (GEHC) New Product Introduction (NPI) process, and long-term partnership for wing-to-wing product lifecycle.

Quality Specific Goals

• Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Finance
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Sourcing, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and/or Commercial background
• Excellent business/financial acumen, proficient in leading and setting direction for teams, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and drive change at all levels of the organization
• Excellent growth leadership skills demonstrating clear global perspective and understand factors impacting GEHC businesses and our suppliers
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of time
• Influence/communication - establishes good relationships; drives change across functional & global boundaries
• This role is on-site based in SLC, UT.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s in Business Administration
• 10 years solid sourcing, supply chain or commercial experience including 6 years in a leadership capacity
• Extensive global experience leading cross-functional or geographically dispersed teams
• Proven Executive Leadership skills in driving Global change across an organization, including strong Change Acceleration Process skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead courageously, maintaining a strong position amidst opposition to resolve important issues, and ability to navigate through a large complex business
• Quality Leadership experience
