The successful candidate will drive supply continuity, cost competitiveness, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and sourcing innovation while supporting both new product development and installed-base product portfolios. This role offers significant cross-functional visibility and the opportunity to influence product strategy, operational performance, and customer outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Own and execute sourcing strategies for the assigned Maternal Infant Care product line, aligning supplier capabilities with business, product, and operational objectives.
  • Serve as the primary sourcing interface across Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain, Service, Regulatory, and Category Sourcing teams.
  • Develop and maintain sourcing roadmaps focused on cost, quality, delivery, capacity, lead-time reduction, localization, resiliency, and continuity of supply.
  • Lead supplier selection, negotiations, contracting activities, and commercial agreements to optimize total landed cost, supplier performance, and business value.
  • Drive productivity and cost-out initiatives through value engineering, competitive bidding, supplier optimization, localization, and design-to-cost strategies.
  • Establish sourcing strategies and cost targets early in product development, ensuring sourcing considerations are integrated into product and business decisions.
  • Support New Product Introduction programs by leading sourcing deliverables, managing supplier readiness, and mitigating supply chain risks.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to supply continuity, capacity constraints, obsolescence, single-source dependencies, inflation, and geopolitical factors.
  • Develop and execute supplier resiliency strategies, including dual sourcing, supplier development, inventory strategies, and business continuity planning.
  • Monitor supplier performance and lead corrective actions to address cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and responsiveness issues.
  • Partner with Category Sourcing teams to leverage commodity strategies, preferred suppliers, market intelligence, and global sourcing opportunities.
  • Identify supplier innovations and emerging technologies that improve product competitiveness, operational efficiency, and supply chain resilience.
  • Present sourcing strategies, business cases, risks, and recommendations to business and functional leadership.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in sourcing, procurement, supplier management, operations, manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing sourcing strategies for products, manufacturing operations, or complex supplier portfolios.
  • Proven track record leading supplier negotiations and delivering cost, productivity, and supply continuity improvements.
  • Experience developing sourcing business cases, cost analyses, and fact-based commercial recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of supplier contracts and commercial terms.
  • Experience managing supplier performance and resolving complex cost, quality, delivery, capacity, or supply-related challenges.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including total landed cost, productivity, inflation, working capital, and ROI analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and supplier networks.
  • Ability to travel as business needs require.
Desired Characteristics
  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare, regulated manufacturing, or similar industries.
  • Familiarity with maternal and infant care technologies or related healthcare environments.
  • Strong commercial judgment with the ability to balance cost, quality, compliance, innovation, and supply continuity.
  • Skilled negotiator capable of building productive supplier relationships and influencing outcomes.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction, supplier transitions, product transfers, or obsolescence management.
  • Knowledge of supplier quality systems, qualification processes, purchasing controls, and change management.
