Salted is seeking a seasoned Sourcing & Procurement lead to drive the end-to-end commercialization of new food products. You will identify and qualify co-manufacturers, build cost models, and manage the qualification process to ensure compliance and cost efficiency across Salted’s kitchens.

You will report to the VP of Finance and collaborate with brands, culinary teams, and distribution partners to forecast volumes, negotiate terms, and optimize production readiness for new item launches.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years in sourcing, procurement, or product commercialization in food manufacturing, restaurant, or CPG.
• Direct experience finding, qualifying, and managing co-manufacturers for finished or semi-finished products.
• Demonstrated negotiation experience covering pricing, terms, and volume commitments.
• Cross functional leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of food safety and regulatory fundamentals (GFSI schemes, allergen controls, FDA labeling).
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills for cost, yield, and quote comparison models.

Responsabilités

• Source new ingredients and formats to improve quality, cost, or kitchen labor.
• Identify, vet, and onboard co-manufacturers and specialty producers for finished and semi-finished products.
• Run product briefs from concept to first production run, including spec development and pilot runs.
• Build landed cost and yield models; lead make vs. buy analysis for leadership decisions.
• Run RFIs/RFPs, compare quotes, and negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and terms.
• Own the demand plan for new and transitioning items; forecast volumes to size production runs.
