Your Job

Molex Connected Enterprise Solutions is seeking a Sourcing Manager to develop and execute sourcing strategies across a global portfolio representing multi-million dollars in annual spend while supporting continued growth across the North American market.

This is a strategic individual contributor role with broad influence across suppliers, products, source locations, and business functions. You will be responsible for driving commercial value, strengthening supplier performance, and supporting profitable growth through effective sourcing and supplier engagement.

The ideal candidate combines strong commercial judgment, market awareness, supplier relationship management skills, and hands-on execution to build a capable, competitive, and resilient global supply base.

You will join the Supply chain organization supporting Connected Enterprise Solutions. Our team partners closely with engineering, manufacturing, operations, quality, finance, and commercial stakeholders to create long-term value through informed decision-making, strong supplier relationships, and continuous improvement.

This role offers meaningful visibility across a global organization and the opportunity to influence sourcing strategy, supplier capability, and business performance without formal direct-report responsibility.

What You Will Do
  • Develop and execute global sourcing strategies across finished goods, externally manufactured products, engineered components, and strategic supplier relationships while providing sourcing leadership for a global portfolio representing multi-million dollars in annual spend.
  • Lead supplier identification, evaluation, selection, negotiation, and contracting activities in partnership with key business stakeholders.
  • Build strong supplier relationships while constructively challenging suppliers to improve cost competitiveness, responsiveness, quality, capacity support, and overall value creation.
  • Monitor supplier markets, cost drivers, and industry trends to develop sourcing strategies and lead complex negotiations involving pricing, payment terms, lead times, capacity commitments, and long-term supply agreements.
  • Develop fact-based business cases using total cost of ownership analysis, benchmarking, should-cost methodologies, market intelligence, and make-versus-buy evaluations.
  • Partner with engineering and product development teams during new product introduction activities to identify qualified suppliers, influence sourcing decisions, establish target costs, and support successful product launches.
  • Identify supplier and supply continuity risks and implement appropriate mitigation and business continuity strategies.
  • Drive value creation through cost reduction, cost avoidance, supplier consolidation, specification optimization, localization strategies, and process improvements.
  • Establish supplier performance expectations and lead business reviews focused on cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with procurement, planning, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve supplier issues and improve supply chain performance.
  • Translate supplier data, financial analysis, market intelligence, and business requirements into actionable recommendations for business leaders.
  • Balance long-term sourcing strategy development with rapid response to changing business priorities, supplier issues, market fluctuations, and customer requirements.
  • Improve sourcing processes, governance, reporting, data integrity, and performance metrics.
  • Lead global initiatives through influence, challenge assumptions constructively, and build alignment across functions, regions, and organizational levels.
  • Apply Principle Based Management to create long-term value for Molex, its customers, and its suppliers.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, supplier management, or a related supply chain function within a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Experience developing and executing sourcing strategies across multiple suppliers, products, manufacturing locations, regions, or business priorities.
  • Experience leading supplier negotiations and supporting the development and execution of commercial agreements.
  • Experience using spend analysis, market intelligence, cost analysis, benchmarking, total cost of ownership, or similar analytical tools to support sourcing decisions.
  • Experience partnering effectively with engineering, manufacturing, operations, quality, finance, legal, supply chain, or product development teams.
  • Experience identifying and mitigating supplier, capacity, cost, geopolitical, or supply continuity risks.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently own sourcing initiatives, influence supplier and business decisions, and build alignment without formal authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, respond quickly to changing business needs, and operate effectively in a dynamic global environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across suppliers, functions, and global regions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
What Will Put You Ahead
