Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced supply chain and procurement professional to develop sourcing plans, manage commodity strategies, and drive cost reductions across the organization. You will align buying, engineering and production teams, report on programs, and lead risk mitigation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in business or engineering, 6+ years in supply chain, ERP (SAP) experience, strong analytics, and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in supply chain, engineering, program management, manufacturing, etc.
• ERP experience is mandatory, SAP preferred.
• Strong analytical skill set.
• Prefer advanced Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint) experience.
• U.S. Person status required due to export-controlled technology as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62.

Responsibilities

• Develop & communicate sourcing plan and commodity strategy requirements within buying team.
• Coordinate and report on program schedules, priorities, IMS plans/targets.
• Ensure alignment between buying team and supply chain with various program build plans.
• Develop cost reduction strategies, inclusive of projects, with the buying team and the supply chain.
• Assist in driving ramp, capacity and transition plan readiness with the supply base.
• Provide clear project direction and status with various stakeholders.
• Stakeholder in the Make/Buy process.
• Provide data that is essential to the overall evaluation from the Buy side.
• Interact, integrate and drive results across cross-functional teams in engineering, supply chain, quality, production, and executive leadership.
• Drive accountability and support the commodity team to meet and exceed key metrics (timely requisition placement, MRB reduction, deflation/inflation mitigation, OTD-delinquency reduction, etc.).
• Oversee and prioritize risk mitigation strategies (i.e. multi-source decisions, DTC, cost variance and supply chain reviews).
• Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Develop and drive cost strategy within the Sourcing Organization, inclusive of cost savings, cost risk mitigation, long term agreements and leverage opportunities.
• Conduct contract negotiations and reviews.
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
• Recruit, onboard, train and mentor new hires.
