Job summary

ebm-papst Inc. in Telford, TN is seeking a Project / Process Manager to lead strategic sourcing and localization projects across Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Suppliers.

You will guide cost reduction, capacity planning, risk mitigation, and supplier development to support growth and supply chain resilience. The role emphasizes coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project schedules, and providing status updates while driving dual-sourcing and total

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• Preferred Degrees: Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or another technical discipline.
• Project Management Certification is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of LEAN principles.

Responsibilities

• Identify project needs such as resources, staff, or finances by reviewing project objectives and schedules.
• Lead component sourcing and localization projects from concept through production implementation.
• Monitor costs incurred by project staff to identify budget issues.
• Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems.
• Plan and implement plant wide projects per management and supplier requirements.
• Develop and maintain a schedule for assigned projects.
• Provide status reports on project milestones and recovery plans as required.
• Assign tasks or responsibilities across the project team.
• Monitor the performance of project team members to provide performance feedback.
• Lend technical expertise to the Sourcing Group for the review and selection of new suppliers for the localized production of any new component parts required when a production line is transferred.
• Manage and participate in CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) and LEAN projects as required.
• Lead localization and dual-sourcing initiatives to reduce cost and improve supply security.
• Analyze total landed cost, tariffs, logistics expenses, and manufacturing impacts.

• Use of the following software programs when performing duties of this position: SAP, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Project Management Software Smart Sheet
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
