Job description

Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sourcing Leader - Professional Services, HR and Benefits. In this role, you will be a key member of the Corporate Services Strategic Sourcing team, responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives for the Human Resources department, including commodities such as benefits/insurance, staffing, temporary labor, employee well-being programs, and other HR-related professional services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in negotiating and managing contracts related to Human Resources services.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Sourcing Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing plans for professional services, aligning with organizational goals. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand HR and benefits service needs.
  2. Supplier Relationship Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with HR and benefits service providers. Conduct performance reviews and collaborate to optimize service delivery and costs.
  3. Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations, draft, review, and manage contracts ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  4. Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, conduct market research, and assess supplier capabilities.
  5. Cost Management: Work with finance to manage and optimize costs, identifying savings and process improvements.
  6. Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with HR and benefits sourcing, ensuring business continuity and compliance.
  7. Collaboration and Communication: Work with cross-functional teams and communicate sourcing initiatives effectively to stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field, with at least three years of experience in strategic sourcing for products and services, preferably within healthcare organizations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical skills and knowledge of procurement processes. Ability to follow documented guidelines and work under direction from senior leaders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related; Master's preferred. Proven experience in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contract management, especially in HR and benefits. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with in-depth industry knowledge.

Qualified candidates must communicate effectively at all organizational levels.

Additional Information:

NYU Langone Health values diversity, equity, and inclusion, offering a supportive environment for all staff.
