Job summary

Phillips Medisize, a Molex Company, seeks a Sourcing Engineer focused on Electronics and PCBA to drive end-to-end sourcing, RFQ execution, and cost optimization for regulated medical electronics.

You will partner with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Program Management to ensure qualified suppliers and competitive quotes, while maintaining trackers and meeting timelines. This role is Hudson, WI or Lisle, IL based.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or supplier management experience.
• Experience supporting electronic components, PCBAs, EMS, or related manufacturing commodities.
• Experience managing RFQs, supplier quotations, and commercial evaluations.
• Strong Excel and analytical experience.
• Experience interpreting BOMs, manufacturing drawings, and supplier cost structures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive RFQ packages with technical and commercial alignment.

Phillips Medisize, a Molex Company is seeking a Sourcing Engineer focused on Electronics and PCBA to support the execution of Molex / Phillips-Medisize global PCBA sourcing activities by managing RFQs, supplier engagement, cost analysis, quote normalization, supplier performance follow-up, and sourcing operations. In this role, you will partner with a diverse global stakeholder group—including Category Management, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management, and external supply partners—to support supplier selection, RFQ execution, cost competitiveness, lifecycle management, and continuity of supply for complex electronics used in regulated medical applications. What You Will Do

• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities across PCBAs, electronic components, cable assemblies, and electromechanical commodities, driving competitive and scalable supply solutions.
• Develop and manage comprehensive RFQ packages, ensuring technical and commercial alignment to enable accurate, comparable supplier quotations.
• Analyze and normalize supplier quotations—including BOMs, conversion costs, tooling, and test assumptions—to support data-driven sourcing decisions.
• Build detailed cost models and perform pricing analysis to identify cost drivers, risks, and savings opportunities across suppliers and regions.
• Partner with Engineering to ensure supplier quotes reflect design intent, manufacturability, testing, and quality requirements.
• Drive supplier engagement by coordinating communications on lead times, capacity, technical clarifications, and commercial expectations.
• Support global sourcing initiatives by evaluating proposals from EMS, PCB, and component suppliers and contributing to supplier selection decisions.
• Maintain sourcing trackers, pipelines, and metrics while proactively managing timelines, follow-ups, and supplier commitments to ensure on-time delivery of quotes.
• Identify and execute cost reduction, PPV mitigation, and total cost of ownership improvements through should-cost analysis, benchmarking, and negotiation support.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• 5+ years of sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or supplier management experience.
• Experience supporting electronic components, PCBAs, EMS, or related manufacturing commodities.
• Experience managing RFQs, supplier quotations, and commercial evaluations.
• Strong Excel and analytical experience.
• Experience interpreting BOMs, manufacturing drawings, and supplier cost structures.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Program Management teams.

What Will Put You Ahead

• PCB, PCBA, EMS, semiconductor, medical device, or electronics manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of component lifecycle management and supply continuity strategies.
• Experience supporting regulated industries (medical, aerospace, industrial, automotive).
• Familiarity with supplier qualification, traceability, and quality system requirements.
• Strong organization and project management capabilities.

This position is not eligible for VISA Sponsorship. In order to comply with U.S. export control laws and regulations, this position requires applicants to either provide proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status or be eligible to receive an export authorization (a license) under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations.

For this role, we anticipate paying $90,000 - $120,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
