Job summary

Schlumberger Limited in Houston is seeking a Sourcing Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Supply Chain organization and to execute general sourcing activities, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.

You will handle RFQ/RFI/RFP processes, manage purchase orders, assist audits, and help implement cost-saving procedures while adhering to company procurement policies and ERP/SAP systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in management science or engineering field preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to learn quickly and translate learning into practical solutions.
  • Commitment to positive change within the supply chain organization.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to local procurement and sourcing activities.
  • Prepare and file Supply Chain documents, reports, performance indicators and correspondence.
  • Process Supply Chain data, information and documentation.
  • Create, distribute, manage and close purchase orders.
  • Participate in Supply Chain-related audits.
  • Submit RFQ/RFI/RFP within the system as directed by supply chain leadership.
  • Ensure RFQ/RFP terms match company needs and transmit documents to suppliers.
  • Comply with sourcing procedures and supplier contracts.
  • Identify and implement actions to reduce waste of time, money and resources.
  • Adhere to SLB procedures; perform any other duties as directed.

The Sourcing Coordinator is responsible for providing general administrative support to the Supply Chain organization and complete general sourcing activities as directed. The Sourcing Coordinator reviews and analyzes Supply Chain information, updates for accuracy, ensures data quality, and is accountable for the accuracy of information.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to local procurement and sourcing activities.
  • Provide clerical support associated with preparing and filing specific Supply Chain documents, reports, performance indicators and correspondence
  • Perform clerical duties associated with processing Supply Chain data, information and documentation.
  • Perform clerical duties associated with creating, distributing, managing and closing purchase orders.
  • Participate in Supply Chain-related audits.
  • Prepares, Submits, Tracks and Catalogs requests for quotation (RFQ), information (RFI) and proposals (RFP) within the system as directed by supply chain leadership.
  • Ensure RFQ/I/P are created per the desired terms and conditions of the company’s needs.
  • Transmit the appropriate supporting documents to the supplier.
  • Subscribe to and comply with sourcing procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to SLB-approved supplier agreements/contracts.
  • Complete actions to continuously reduce wasted time, money and resources.
  • Comply with Schlumberger and local procedures applicable to the job function.
  • All other duties as directed by their manager.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any related management science or engineering field of study - preferred
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office tools.
  • Ability to learn quickly and translate learning into practical solutions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to making and communicating a culture of positive change throughout the supply chain organization.
  • Exhibit problem solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of ERP Systems (E.g. SAP). - preferred
