Parker Hannifin is seeking a Commodity Manager to lead sourcing strategies for a defined business segment and potentially manage a team of Sourcing Agents. The role involves negotiating with a global supplier base, leading RFQ processes, and driving capacity planning and ramp‑ups to ensure smooth transitions from development to production purchasing.
The position requires eight to ten years in sourcing, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and strong experience with contracts, MRP, and MS
The Commodity Manager is responsible for sourcing strategies and supply base performance for a defined business segment within that Division. The development of strategies and management of that supply base are achieved directly by the Commodity Manager, or may include leading a team of Sourcing Agents that are responsible for individual commodities.
This role can be locating in Cary, NC or Erie, PA.
Travel to global manufacturing facilities and suppliers to facilitate strategy development/implementation, negotiations, development of global relationships and supplier manufacturing site evaluations.Travel may be up to thirty (30) percent of the time.
