Job Description

The Sourcing and Procurement Information Technology Category Lead Consultant plays a key role in helping Allstate make informed commercial decisions on resource allocation and improving stakeholder experience in sourcing and contracting Goods and Services.

You will collaborate with business partners on complex procurement projects, challenging existing practices and identifying opportunities for value creation. This role involves researching, analyzing, and advising stakeholders on market dynamics and developing sourcing strategies, especially within IT product categories.

• Identify and drive opportunities to improve total cost of ownership in IT categories.
• Develop and propose sourcing strategies that maximize value.
• Gain stakeholder alignment and influence buying decisions.
• Analyze category data to support decision-making.
• Work with IT stakeholders to incorporate company strategies into sourcing.
• Provide strategic guidance considering Allstate’s market position.
• Devise negotiation strategies and lead negotiations.
• Translate market research into procurement solutions.
• Manage supplier and stakeholder relationships throughout projects.
• Advise on contract terms and monitor supplier performance with KPIs and SLAs.
• Build strategic relationships with internal IT stakeholders.
• Understand contracting and legal environments.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job does not have supervisory duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Preferred certifications: CPSM, Six Sigma, CPCU, CIPS.
• Knowledge of procurement and strategic sourcing methodologies.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of value drivers.
• Data analysis and storytelling skills.
• Creative problem solving and strategy formulation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges from $78,600 to $142,275, based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate will be required to undergo a background check.
