Job Purpose

Assist with vendor relations, pricing, new vendor inquiries, inventory tracking, and quality assurance of materials including TDS and SDS sheets.

Sourcing Tasks

1. Analyze commodity requirements, including specifications and preferred suppliers.
2. Solicit and evaluate proposals from suppliers.
3. Interview potential suppliers to assess suitability.
4. Advise management on supplier selection.
5. Negotiate costs balancing quality and schedule needs.
6. Implement purchase contracts in compliance with regulations.
7. Ensure timely delivery of quality commodities at negotiated prices.
8. Coordinate cost-effective distribution methods.
9. Knowledge of ERP systems and MRP implementation.
10. Assist with inventory tracking and cycle counts.
11. Track material trials and results.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• 2-3 years experience in sourcing and materials.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Quick learner with effective execution.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
