Job summary

Weston&Sampson, Inc. seeks a Procurement Specialist to lead sourcing events, develop eProcurement catalogs, negotiate contracts, and maintain contract records. The role supports cost savings, operational efficiency, supplier performance, and compliance with procurement policies.

The ideal candidate will analyze spend data, manage RFQ/RFP processes, and ensure term compliance while collaborating with campus partners and legal stakeholders to drive strategic sourcing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with RFQ’s and RFP’s supplier selection processes.
  • Working knowledge of evaluating supplier proposals.
  • Experience conducting spend analysis, identifying cost-savings opportunities, and creating reports.
  • Experience with sourcing strategies and category management initiatives.
  • Ability to review contracts and collaborate with legal, procurement, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to track contract renewals, expirations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with eProcurement systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic ownership of the eProcurement system, oversees catalog lifecycle management, vendor enablement, and continuous catalog development to support the University’s strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Reviews contracts to ensure business terms comply with University policies, mitigate risk, and protect the University’s interests. Tracks contract expiration dates and renewal and consolidation opportunities.
  • Maintains contract repository and supporting documentation. Negotiates business terms, pricing, and service agreements or provides guidance to campus partners during contract discussions with vendor. Serves as a resource to campus by aiding with contract systems.
  • Maintains Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track savings and sourcing project outcomes.

General Summary
