FAMU-Regiestudent (Master) sucht Sound Designer (unbezahlt)

Für meinen Kurzfilm "The Air Between Us" (ehem. "Unseen Blossoms") suche ich eine:n Sounddesigner:in, optimal kannst Du auch für 5.1 mischen. Bei dem Projekt habe bisher alle ohne Entgelt mitgewirkt, und so möchte ich es auch beibehalten.

Ich selbst habe Produktion an der Hamburg Media School studiert, an der NFTS in London einige Regiekurse belegt und dort auch diesen Stoff entwickelt im Rahmen des "Underrepresented Voices Writing Lab". Ab September werde ich an der FAMU in Prag Regie studieren.

Der Film ist auf Englisch gedreht und komplett mit professionellen Darsteller:innen und professionellem Team besetzt. Die Hauptrolle spielt Frederick von Lüttichau. DOP war die Filmakademie-Absolventin Hanna Schwarzl, Editing Consultant BAFTA-Gewinnerin Carmela Schönenberger.

Der Film wurde in den Slate von Festival Formula aufgenommen und wird aller Voraussicht nach eine Festivalauswertung haben.

Dialogschnitt ist abgeschlossen, es bestehen konkrete Ideen um die autistische Perspektive auch auf der Audioebene zu erzählen. Ich bin aber, wie allen Teammitgliedern gegenüber, immer offen für eigene Ideen. Es existieren auch Vor-Ort-Aufnahmen, teilweise mit einem Vier-Kanal-Mikrofon. Es gibt also Material zum Spielen.

Um zu lernen, wie man Frauen anspricht, verlässt sich der autistische Frank auf KI-generierte Romanzen. Erst als ihm klar wird, dass Menschen so nicht funktionieren, findet er eine Verbindung zur Außenwelt.

FAMU Directing Student (Master's) Seeking Sound Designer (Unpaid)

For my short film "The Air Between Us" (formerly "Unseen Blossoms"), I am looking for a sound designer - ideally someone who can also mix in 5.1. Everyone involved in the project so far has contributed without payment, and I would like to maintain that approach.

I studied Producing at the Hamburg Media School, took several directing courses at the NFTS in London, and developed this story as part of the "Underrepresented Voices Writing Lab" there. Starting in September, I will be studying Directing at FAMU in Prague.

The film was shot in English with a fully professional cast and crew. The lead role is played by Frederick von Lüttichau. The DOP was Filmakademie graduate Hannah Schwarzl, and the editing consultant was BAFTA winner Carmela Schönenberger.

The film has been accepted for the Festival Formula slate and is expected to have a festival run.

Dialogue editing is complete, and there are concrete ideas for conveying the autistic perspective through sound. However, as with all collaborators, I’m always open to your own creative input. We also have location sound recordings, some captured with a four-channel microphone—so there’s material to play with.

Working language can be either German or English.

To learn how to talk to women, autistic Frank relies on AI-generated romances. Only when he realizes that humans don’t work that way does he begin to connect with the world around him.
