Our upcoming R&B/Pop music video, a visually driven piece with a surreal, dreamlike aesthetic, is seeking an entry-level Sound Designer. This project demands creative soundscapes to enhance the emotional core and unique visuals of a breakout artist's new single. We need someone who can craft compelling atmospheric elements, subtle effects, and foley that elevate the storytelling without overpowering the music itself. Key responsibilities include creating original sound effects, designing ambient beds, and integrating sound elements to achieve a cohesive and immersive sonic experience. You’ll be working closely with the director and editor. We’re looking for someone with a strong ear, familiarity with DAWs like Pro Tools or Logic, and a portfolio showcasing sound design work, even if from student films or personal projects. Access to your own sound library and basic design software is a plus. The shoot is a quick 1-2 days, likely late October or early November 2026, with post-production sound work to follow for approximately 2-3 weeks. This is a paid position, offering $200-400 per day for the post-production period. Equipment for post-production, including a workstation, is not provided, so you’ll need your own setup. This independent production offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute creatively to a high-energy music video in New York, NY.
