Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an entry-level engineer to support government customers in portfolio management and system‑of‑systems engineering. You will interact with program offices and contribute to enterprise modeling, roadmaps, and data‑driven decision making.

Candidates should have a related technical degree, 0–1 year experience, and be ready to travel domestically or internationally. A security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, math, or related technical discipline (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months).
  • 0-1 year of industry experience.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or better.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse set of collaborators.
  • Ability to function in multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments.
  • Coursework or research experience in system architecting activities.
  • Willing to travel (domestically/internationally) approx. 10%.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and analytical support to government customers in portfolio management and system-of-systems engineering.
  • Interact directly with Aerospace program office personnel as well as government customers.
  • Provide enterprise engineering and analytical support in portfolio management, digital engineering, and systems engineering across defense, intelligence, and civil government domains.
  • Develop enterprise-level models and roadmaps that enable stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions on complex, cross-organizational challenges.
  • Support the deployment or implementation of existing Aerospace tools and frameworks with government customers.
  • Identify new capabilities and enhancements to current capabilities that will better support the customer base.
  • Contribute to studies designed to solve new technical problems and provide new technical solutions.
  • Take initiative to inform management of perceived technical problems and recommend courses of action.
  • Collaborate with and work on cross-organizational teams.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
