Job summary

Anderson Precision Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Sort Specialist to assemble small precision metal components, perform basic visual quality checks, and prepare parts for shipment to customers.

You will use plug and ring gauges, maintain production records, follow SOPs, and uphold safety and regulatory standards in a hands-on, on-site role that offers a competitive benefits package and hourly wage of $16.00–$18.00.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable individual to join our team as a Sort Specialist. This hands‑on role ranges from assembling small precision metal components, to performing basic visual checks for quality, and preparing parts for shipment to customers.

Production Duties

• Perform visual inspections of precision‑turned metal parts to verify conformance with part specifications and quality standards and pack finished parts for customer delivery.
• Utilize hard gages (e.g., plug and ring gages) to inspect precision‑turned metal parts and assess suspect inventory for customer delivery.
• Accurately complete production and quality records as required.
• Maintain consistent production and inspection rates while adhering to all quality requirements.

General Responsibilities

• Follow all standard operating procedures and company processes.
• Remain vigilant about potential safety hazards or violations; promptly report concerns to management.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DEC, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
• Proactively contribute ideas for process and quality improvements.

Essential Physical Requirements

• Ability to use fingers, hands, and arms to quickly and repeatedly adjust machine controls to exact position, grasp, and manipulate very small parts and hold machinery and parts in a steady pattern.
• Ability to push, pull, lift and move materials weighing zero to 50 pounds.
• Regularly required to stand, bend, sit and move to operate machines and move around facility.
