Job summary

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is seeking a Sorter to inspect and sort finished tile. You will assess shade and visual defects, discard defective tile into trash hoppers, and monitor equipment or processes while following standard operating procedures.

You will keep the work area safe, clean, and organized and perform other related duties as required. This is a hands-on manufacturing role in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing/production experience.

Primary Objective

Primary Objective : Inspects and sorts finished tile.

Major Function and Scope

• Inspects tile for shade and visual defects.
• Discards defective tile into trash hoppers.
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
• Follows standard operating procedures.
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Previous manufacturing/production experience.

Competency

• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Good record keeping skills.
• Good listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.
