Kelly is assisting a local client in recruiting for Sorting Machine Operator in Elgin, IL.

Job Title:

Sorting Machine Operator

Location:

Elgin, IL

Pay:

$20.50

Shift:

2nd shift - 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm, Monday - Friday

Position Summary:

The Sorting Machine Operator operates multiple machines to meet customer requirements, ensuring product is free of mixtures and defects.

Primary Duties:

1. Start machines and perform daily checks to detect malfunctions.
2. Program parts by setting parameters on each machine.
3. Troubleshoot and report any machinery malfunctions to supervisor and maintenance.
4. Perform daily maintenance and setups to ensure proper operation of machines.
5. Print labels and affix to containers for lot control.
6. Prepare products for shipment, ensuring they are free of mixtures and defects.
7. Calculate weight per container using basic math.
8. Follow all safety rules and policies.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
