Summary

Sorts incoming merchandise into specified classifications to support store productivity and increase sales.

Responsibilities

1. Sorts merchandise.
2. Examines merchandise to determine if an item is sellable or non-sellable.
3. Disposes of non-sellable merchandise before it reaches the pricer’s table.
4. Refers 'debatable' items to the pricer for determination.
5. Places sellable items in the bin for pricing.
6. Meets timelines and production goals.
7. Maintains cleanliness and organization of the work area for safety and efficiency.
8. Ensures smooth flow of products in and out of the workstation.
9. Performs other duties and special assignments as directed, which may be outside primary responsibilities.

Physical Demands

• Work indoors in a production and retail environment with exposure to temperature changes.
• Regularly speak, hear, stand, and move throughout the store.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally be exposed to dust from donations.
• Stand, bend, stoop, and walk regularly.
• Lift arms to shoulder height or above.
• Push or pull clothing racks weighing up to 15 pounds.
