Fastenal is hiring for a Part-time Sortation position at its Modesto distribution center. You will support moving products, label items with RF scanners and printers, and prepare shipments for consolidation into totes and pallets.

The role requires flexibility with a varied weekend schedule and a focus on safety and efficiency. Ideal candidates have strong communication, math, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team and handle 25–100 lb lifts as needed.

Job Description

Sortation- 4025 Finch Rd, Modesto, CA 95357; CA200 Distribution Center

Part-time Shift (s): TUE WED THU FRI SUN 12:00 pm-6:00 pm

MON TUE WED FRI SUN 1:30 pm-7:30 pm

TUE WED THU FRI SUN 8:30 am-2:30 pm

Up to 28 hours/week

OVERVIEW

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Part-time Sortation, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout the distribution center to company owned branches. You will organize all outgoing orders by placing packages into totes and pallets in preparation for shipping. This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at 4025 Finch Rd, Modesto, CA 95357.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or over, due to the nature of work
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
