Job summary

ITW Shakeproof is seeking a Sort Machine Operator to run several sorting machines and ensure products meet customer specs. You will perform daily checks, minor setups, and labeling after each changeover, while maintaining a clean and safe workspace and reporting issues to supervision.

Responsibilities include weighing finished goods, preventing mixtures or defects, and adhering to ITW operating principles to improve overall business performance.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED; manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence; basic math and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple machines to sort product meeting customer requirements.
• Perform daily checks and report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and simple setups for machine operation.
• Label finished goods after each machine changeover.
• Prepare product to ship free of mixtures and defects; weigh finished goods.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment; follow company procedures.
