Job summary

America West Medical Transportation, Inc. is seeking drivers to transport wheelchair or stretcher patients in specially equipped vehicles, using a GPS system. This fast-paced role suits a self-starter who will work closely with the team leader.

As a Driver you will operate independently or with a teammate, ensure patient safety, provide excellent service to patients and families, and participate in on-call rotations while maintaining vehicle cleanliness and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Valid State Driver's license required.
• 3 years of professional driving experience required.
• Clean driving record (no more than 1 point).

About the Role

The Driver will be responsible for picking up wheelchair patients or stretcher patients using a fully loaded vehicle equipped for wheelchairs or stretchers and a GPS system. This position may work independently or with another teammate based on driving assignments.

What You'll Do

• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families

• Effectively communicate with leadership
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness

Qualifications

• Valid State Driver's license required
• 3 years of professional driving experience required
• Clean driving record (No more than 1 point)
• Ability to successfully pass a drug test and health screening which includes alcohol, TB skin test and/or TB chest x-ray
• Ability to pass a physical agility test
• Ability to lift/maneuver 50 pounds
• Fluency in speaking and understanding English, strong communication skills
• Ability to drive to various locations
• Professionalism
• Ability to use apps and electronic devices

Preferred Skills

• Bilingual language ability preferred
• Previous wheelchair transport experience

Final pay rate is determined based on qualifications, experience, and performance, at the employer's discretion.
