Job summary

America West Medical Transportation, Inc. is hiring drivers to transport wheelchair patients or stretcher patients in fully equipped vehicles with GPS routing. The role may be solo or with a teammate depending on assignments.

The Driver will ensure safe transport from home to service and back, use transportation software, provide excellent customer service, and maintain vehicle cleanliness, with on-call responsibilities and strong communication with leadership.

Qualifications

• Valid State Driver's license required.
• 3 years of professional driving experience required.
• Clean driving record (No more than 1 point).
• Pass health screening including drug test and TB screening.
• Pass a physical agility test and lifting 50 pounds.
• Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
• Ability to drive to various locations and use company apps.

About the Role

The Driver will be responsible for picking up wheelchair patients or stretcher patients using a fully loaded vehicle equipped for wheelchairs or stretchers and a GPS system. This position may work independently or with another teammate based on driving assignments.

What You’ll Do

• Independently run medical transportation operations in a company vehicle
• Ensure patients are transported safely from their home to place of service and returned home safely.
• Utilize company transportation software
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
• Assume on-call responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle cleanliness

Qualifications

• Valid State Driver's license required
• 3 years of professional driving experience required
• Clean driving record (No more than 1 point)
• Ability to successfully pass a drug test and health screening which includes alcohol, TB skin test and/or TB chest x-ray
• Ability to pass a physical agility test
• Ability to lift/maneuver 50 pounds
• Fluency in speaking and understanding English, strong communication skills

Preferred Skills

Final pay rate is determined based on qualifications, experience, and performance, at the employer's discretion.
