Job Details

Shift: PRN, hours will vary, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures to examine tissues and body structures, producing quality images for interpretation.
• Set up and adjust equipment, manually maneuver transducers, and perform exams.
• Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures.
• Perform routine and complex studies, assist in various imaging procedures.
• Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
• Ensure equipment functionality, report issues, and lock/tag out equipment if needed.
• Submit high-quality images and documentation promptly to PACS.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree within 6 months of hire.

Certifications and Licenses

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire (AHA or Red Cross).
• One of the following credentialed from recognized bodies: CCI Cardiographic Tech, CCI Electrophysiology Tech, ARDMS Cardiac or Medical Sonographer, or ARDMS/Vascular Sonography Tech within 12 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in general and vascular sonography preferred; certifications required within one year of hire.
