Jackson State Community College is seeking an Assistant Professor and Sonography Program Director to lead the Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Cardiovascular Sonography programs. Responsibilities include curriculum development, accreditation management, budgeting, and faculty supervision to ensure program effectiveness.

The position emphasizes classroom and lab instruction, program evaluation, and collaboration with clinical affiliates while advancing student outcomes and success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and an ACS credential, or a Master’s degree with a sonography credential.
• Credentials specific to concentrations offered (e.g., Adult Echocardiography, Vascular Technology) and at least one other credential in sonography.
• Documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance and educational theories/techniques.
• Minimum of 2 years of full-time clinical experience as a registered sonographer.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, evaluate and revise the program's master plan to maintain accreditation.
• Teach didactically in classroom and laboratory settings.
• Coordinate curricular design, descriptions, requirements, and evaluation systems.
• Manage program accreditation processes and annual reporting.
• Oversee budget, equipment, materials, and collaboration with clinical affiliates.
