VIP Medical Group in Reston, VA is seeking a Sonographer to perform diagnostic venous duplex ultrasound scans and related exams. The role involves preparing rooms and equipment, maintaining sterile technique, and documenting findings in the EMR.

Candidates should have an Associate degree in Medical Sonography, certification as a Medical Sonographer, and at least one year of experience. RVT or RVS is preferred; competitive pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Lower extremity/ vascular experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic venous duplex ultrasound scans, rule out DVT, and post-procedure scans.
• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment following safety protocols.
• Medical intakes and enter medical notes in the EMR system.
• Use sterile technique for procedure set up and prep patients for procedures.
• Assist during procedures and maintain patient privacy per HIPAA.
• Establish collaborative relationships with co-workers and health care team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography exams in accordance with patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures.


• Medical intakes.


• Enter medical notes in our EMR system.


• Use sterile technique for procedure set up and prep patients for procedures.


• Maintain patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA.


• Properly care for Ultrasound equipment and notifies the office if there are any issues.


• Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with co-workers and members of the health care team.
