Posting Specifics:
  1. Flat Rate: $70.00 hourly
  2. Shift Details: Variable
  3. Hours: Full-Time (36-40 Hours)

Internal Travel Program is part of Intermountain Health, a nonprofit healthcare organization focusing on person-centered care. Caregivers in our Travel Program enjoy assignments at locations throughout the Western Slope of Colorado, Denver Metro, and Montana areas. All assignments are on 14-week rotations.

Housing Reimbursement: If working 50 miles or greater from your home, housing reimbursable amounts are determined by the assigned site location, and receipts must be submitted within 30 days of the transaction date.

Job Essentials:
  • Ensures proper patient identification, verifies orders, and prepares patients for exams.
  • Uses proper imaging techniques to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality diagnostic exams. Demonstrates the ability to perform any exam on all ages of patients (neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics) using appropriate protocols and following ACR guidelines.
  • Demonstrates proficiency on all clinical equipment within the department.
  • Completes and annotates a medically acceptable exam, following ACR guidelines while producing maximum diagnostic information efficiently.
  • Follows appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding, and charging, obtaining consents if necessary, documenting events, maintaining a current QC program for ACR, and reporting equipment issues.
  • Exhibits good safety practices, including body substance protection, equipment cleaning, sterile techniques, and proper disposal of expired materials.
  • Accurately completes all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
Minimum Requirements:
  • ARRT Registry or ARDMS Registry, including at least one registry pertinent to the department beyond physics (OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, vascular).
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of related sonography experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
