Job summary

MEP Health in Seattle, WA seeks a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to provide ultrasound imaging services per physician orders, ensuring quality and patient safety. You will prepare equipment, document results, and educate patients while upholding professional ethics and confidentiality.

The role requires ARDMS RDMS certification, BLS, and ideally one year of ultrasound experience in a hospital setting, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification from ARDMS required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Preferred: One year of ultrasound experience, hospital setting familiarity, strong customer service, and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, evaluate image quality, and assist radiologists as needed.
• Accurately input patient data into computer systems, manage scheduling, and documentation.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, communicate delays, and maintain confidentiality.
• Ensure safety by adhering to radiation and infection control protocols, performing equipment checks, and responding to adverse reactions.
• Maintain a neat work environment, participate in team activities, and rotate shifts including specialty and portable procedures.
