Job summary

LifeBridge Health seeks a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at Carroll Hospital in Westminster, MD. You will produce high-quality sonograms, ensure patient safety, and operate ultrasound equipment and PACS to capture diagnostic images.

You will analyze images, correlate with medical history, and communicate findings to physicians. RDMS certification is preferred; CPR Healthcare Provider certification is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Current overview and knowledge of operations within a hospital or outpatient Ultrasound Department.
• Solid foundation of knowledge regarding all diagnostic medical ultrasound systems.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic sonograms while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Analyze sonograms, synthesize medical history, and communicate findings to the physician.
• Maintain knowledge of ultrasound equipment and related software (PACS).

Is responsible for the production of high quality sonograms in an efficient manner while assuming responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients while they are in the sonographer's care. Analyses sonograms, synthesizes sonographic information and medical history, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician. Has a full knowledge of the equipment utilized for diagnostic Ultrasound as well as software and computer systems used to maintain patient information and diagnostic images (PACS).

Essential:

• High School / GED

REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program required. Associate's degree preferred. Current overview and knowledge of operations within a hospital or outpatient Ultrasound Department. Solid foundation of knowledge regarding all diagnostic medical ultrasound systems and exams. RDMS-Sonographer, American heart Association CPR Healthcare Provider Certification, RVT-Registered Vascular Tech preferred.
